Cal State LA Center of Effective Teaching and Learning provided a template for class assignments that clearly states “Purpose” (Goal of the assignment that links to the course outcomes) and “Skills” (what skills you want students to develop). Here is an example of class activity developed by Dr. Sonya Lopez (CE) to show how the template can be utilized.
